UNC Charlotte Chapter of SAE

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International provides students with the resources and opportunities to learn and develop the skills needed in the world of automotive engineering. These resources include standards of development and technical information used in designing, maintaining, and operating vehicles for land, sea air and space. Expertise and knowledge from professionals and companies in all relevant fields of engineering are brought together through SAE International.

UNC Charlotte has its own student chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Together, students run race teams to conceive, design and fabricate high-performance vehicles. These vehicles will be planned and constructed with the cooperation of the members and the compilation of their engineering knowledge. This student organization here at UNC Charlotte will provide students with the knowledge, skills and level of professionalism to be successful, not only in the automotive world but in the engineering world as well.
